Of all crafts, to be an honest man is the master craft.

This is the prototype joint I'm going to use in the conoid chair.  I have never seen this application for this joint so I needed to see if it could be made.  Sometimes thinking things can be done doesn't translate.  Turns out it can, with great care.  Making the joint with an old 2x6 taught me what I needed to pay attention to while cutting the joint- it's not a simple joint.  The included angle between the seat and leg is 78 degrees front to back and 3 degrees in to the bottom, side to side.  It worked.

This blog is meant to reflect the       process that is instrumental in the finished pieces that I create, as well as the work, value, and craftsmanship that goes into them.
